Museums and exhibitions play such crucial roles in the life of an artist…

All the things about the museum, be it the collections, the displays, or the lighting, matter when it comes to spaces; the entire essence of space changes when we eliminate even one element.
So, many influential and rising artists created beautiful works that received recognition due to museum space displays, be it sculptures, paintings, mixed media, etc.
Art from past centuries still holds that value, as it is preserved and has the suitable space to raise awareness among the audience because of today’s museums. This also attracts a large audience for the art piece.
As Grela Orihuela, the director of Art Wynwood and a consultant for Art Miami, told the New York Times, “A museum show can change an artist’s reputation.”
“A museum show can be very influential for an artist. It changes the price point, the popularity, the awareness a person has for an artist.”
She pointed to Frank Stella, a painter who had a retrospective show at the Whitney Museum of American Art last fall. The show ran for over three months, and after it closed, the value of his existing work rose — even though Mr. Stella has been a well-known American artist since the 1960s.
This is the impact that a ‘space’ leaves on you, and walking through the rooms of the Kochi Biennale, you already feel so many things in the room. You feel like a kid experiencing and seeing something for the first time, like seeing the first butterfly, rain, and snowfall.
You feel so happy and euphoric that you lose sense of this world and become on with it. That’s what a museum or an exhibition space displaying various art does to you.
Each space and its art had so many things to convey; while passing from one room to another, you carry all these messages and indirectly connect each art and artist’s thought with another, enlightening our spirit more. It is rare to feel so many different things in just a fraction of a second, especially when living in a jaded world. So, the exhibition held the power of putting one in a trans zone and multiverse.
We don’t have to be the same to share a space. The evolution of space can shift our mood.
